Meta Skill Usage:
To use a Meta Skill, you need at least one regular Skill Gem socketed in it. For example, Cast on Freeze will require a skill that can freeze enemies (e.g., Frostbolt, Ice Nova, etc.) to POE currency trigger the effect.
Energy Sources: Energy can be gained through various in-game actions or effects. Certain skills or passive tree nodes may enhance how quickly you generate Energy, allowing you to trigger your Meta Skill more frequently.
How to Increase Energy Gain for Meta Skills
There are several ways to speed up the rate at which your Meta Skill gains Energy:
Impetus Support Gem:
The Impetus Support Gem increases the Energy gain rate of the Meta Skill by 40%. However, only one Impetus can be active at a time, so you’ll need to choose carefully which Meta Skill benefits most from this boost.
Gem Quality:
Gem Quality can increase the Energy absorption rate by up to 20%. By using Gemcutter's Prisms on Meta Skills, you can enhance their Energy gain.
To check the effects of Gem Quality on Meta Skills, hold ALT while hovering over the gem to cheap POE 2 Currency display the additional effects.
